Personality:  He shows interest in everything. When we see people, he says hi. Anybody. Walking down the street results in a steady stream of little Hi!'s.

He has begun the terrible twos early, having random tantrums and outbreaks of unpleasant independantness, such as not eating anything unless he can do it himself. Then there are moments of calm, quiet, where he will stare off into space and think his little toddler thoughts. Sometimes he will play by himself with his toys, talking, throwing, yelling, or just moving them about.

Then at other times he will run to me and demand a hug or kiss, maybe just to run off again, or maybe because he wants to play with me. If he does choose to play with me, I'd better give him my full attention or he gets quite upset.

 

Growth: Excellent. He started to walk at nine months. Now he's on a leash when we go for a walk because I can't keep him safe otherwise.

He doesn't say much, but understands more than you might think. his very first bik ride was a feew weeks ago, on a forward faceing baby seat. When I told him "Put your hands on my hands." he understood right away and did it.

He communicates quite well enough without words and apparently sees no particular reason to use them.

He's figured out all my baby proofing things, except the fridge lock, thank gods.

He's also the only one and a half year old I know who can boot up a computer and click on the guest account. I had to add a bios password just to keep him out of it.

 

Physical description: An original gerber baby. Curly blonde hair, beautiful full lashes on deep blue eyes. Two adorable dimples. He's tall, most people think he's two, or even three and a half. He comes up to my hip, and I'm 5'6''. He's got a cute little birthmark on the back of his neck that is still taking shape, but has at least three different points.

 

Interesting quirks: He has moments of utter seriousness, where his expression resembles an old man, instead of a baby. I'd like to know what he thinks.

He evidently really likes people with dark skin. We saw a black man the other day, darkest skin I've ever seen, Lucian walked up to him and stared. Didn't say a word, but sat on the bench beside him and stared for a good couple of minutes, smileing happily. It was very cute.
